New changes for Skilled worker Visas
The Government of Australia, to address the unfair labor practice, has applied new visa conditions on 8107, 8607, and 8608, which is effective from July 01, 2024. Australia has also announced to make improvements for the labor market via the following visas:
- Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457)
 - Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482)
 - Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (provisional) visa (subclass 494)

The holders of these visas who have stopped working for their previous employers will have more time to find a new sponsor, apply for a new visa, and arrange to depart from this country. The holder will have a minimum of 180 days and a maximum of 365 days to apply for the entire visa grant period.
The sponsor must inform the department if there are any changes within the 28-day period. The department has announced that the sponsor must not do any work that is inconsistent with any licensed nominated occupation, including any conditions or requirements they are subject to.
