Highlights: BC PNP updates its streams for international students!
- The British Columbia updated the streams for international students.
- The International Graduate and Post-Graduate Streams will be substituted with three new streams.

British Columbia PNP announces new changes
British Columbia announced plans to update the British Columbia PNP for international students. The changes are introduced to increase applicants' awareness regarding language skills and education levels required to increase the chances of receiving a nomination.
Candidates with proficiency in French or English and higher levels of education are more likely to contribute to the growth of British Columbia's economy.
The province will replace the existing graduate streams with three new ones.

Objectives of the new BC PNP streams
Some of the objectives of the announcement made to the BC PNP streams are as follows:
- The changes will create clear immigration pathways with more positive outcomes for the nominees.
- Students who have completed certificate or diploma programs in Canada are not eligible for the new streams but can still qualify for the other BC PNP streams.
- The minimum CLB language requirement for the new streams would be CLB 8. The language requirement will, however, remain unchanged for the Health Authority stream.
- The complete criteria of the latest streams will be updated in January 2025 in the Program Guide of BC PNP Skills Immigration.
