Highlights: Temporary visa processing time reduced for Pakistanis
- Sean Fraser, the Immigration Minister of Canada, announced reducing the Canada temporary visa processing time for Pakistanis.
- For Pakistanis, temporary visa processing time will now be reduced from 2 years to 2 months or less.
- Visitors, students, tourists, and skilled foreign workers can apply for a Canada Temporary visa.
- The backlog for temporary resident visas for Pakistanis has been reduced to 15,000 from 55,000.

Pakistan: Top Permanent resident (PR) contributors to Canada

Express Entry Guidelines
- Candidates who wish to participate in the Express Entry Draw must create a profile. (Profiles with a high score are offered Invitations to Apply by the IRCC).
- Sixty days are assigned to candidates with an ITA to apply.
- A minimum CRS score of 600 is required to qualify for the Express Entry Draw. Factors like age, language proficiency, work experience, and education are considered to assign the points.
- Candidates with a job offer can score 50-200 points on the CRS table based on the type of profession and skill.
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
Canadian provinces that have their immigration programs known as the PNP programs.
