Finland has received 12,000+ work permit applications in 2024 so far.
Finland registered 12,498 work permit applications from foreigners in the first nine months of the year. The overall number of work-based residence permit applications has remained high in 2024. The number of applications recorded this year has also been high compared to the preceding years. Around 978 foreign specialists also applied for a residence permit in Finland during this timeframe.

Finland registers 9% increase in work permit applications from International students
The country also saw a 9% increase in international students applying for a Finnish residence permit. Around 11,749 students submitted applications from January to September 2024. Study-related residence permit applications are now streamlined with a faster processing time of within 9 days.
