Germany to increase the number of visas issued by 22,400
The German government has announced that it will boost the total number of visas issued to skilled foreign workers by 22,400 this year. Germany's Skilled Immigration Act has attracted skilled workers from around the world. Nearly 177,000+ German visas were expected to be granted in 2023, which further increased the quota to 200,000 in 2024.

Italy boosts the overall Work visa count by 10,000 in 2025
The government of Italy is in talks to hike the total number of work visas issued to foreign workers. The announcement is a measure to deal with the country's labor crisis. The total number of Italy work visas granted to foreign workers will increase to 165,000 this year. As per the latest three-year plan, the number of work visas issued will be higher for professions facing labor shortages.
Seasonal workers will be issued 93,550 visas in 2025, which earlier had a cap of 89,050. Hospitality and agriculture are the two most in-demand sectors in Italy.
