Highlights: Ireland issues 3,400 Work Permits to Agriculture workers
- Ireland has granted around 3,400 work permits to foreign workers in the agriculture sector.

Ireland Grants More than 30,000 Employment Permits in 2024
The Irish government has issued around 36,402 employment permits in 2024 so far, with 3,289 permits granted in November alone. Health and social workers received nearly 11,694 permits, 32.1% of the overall work permits issued, while agriculture workers obtained 3,400 Irish work permits. Foreign workers in the Information and communication sector took away 17% of the employment permits.

The Irish government earlier announced that it would raise the annual salaries for workers in horticulture and meat processing to €32,000 from the current €30,000. The salary increment would be effective starting January 2025.
