The government of France has announced plans to increase the tourist taxes from 2024. A 200% increase has been proposed to the parliament, which will go for the funding of public transport during the Olympics.
The surge in taxes is expected to produce 423 Million Euros on an annual basis, which is twice the estimated value required for the funding.
