SINP Agriculture Talent pathway
The Agriculture Talent pathway is being introduced to help farmers and employers in the agriculture sector deal with the province's labor shortages. To be eligible for the program, one must live outside Canada or have proof of Canadian legal status, provided they are not refugee claimants.
David Martin, the agriculture Minister of Saskatchewan, said, “A skilled and flexible agricultural workforce is essential to our increasing role in global food security as a supplier our markets can rely on which keeps our producers competitive and profitable and keeps our economy strong and growing.”
Who is eligible for the SINP Agriculture Talent pathway?
The eligibility criteria to qualify for the Agriculture Talent pathway are as follows:
- Have a minimum language proficiency score of CLB 4 in English/French (Some may request a score higher than that)
- Have completed a higher level of education or secondary education
- Have a minimum of 12 months of experience in the last three years in their occupations or six months of full-time experience with an employer that has offered you the job approval letter.
- Show proof of intent to reside and work in Saskatchewan.
- Have a qualifying full-time and permanent job in the province.

SINP Health Talent Pathway
The Health Talent pathway was introduced to hire and retain skilled healthcare professionals. The recruitment process under the new SINP pathway will be integrated and streamlined. The Health Talent pathway has both Express Entry and Non-Express Entry pathways, each with its own criteria.
Health Talent pathway: Non-Express Entry category
To qualify for the Non-express entry sub-stream, one has to live outside the country or have proof of Canadian legal status but is not a refugee claimant.
One must fulfill the below criteria to qualify for the non-express Entry stream:
- Have a minimum language proficiency score of CLB 5 (English/French)
- If applying from within the province: Are currently employed in Saskatchewan and have at least six months of full-time experience with the employer that offered the job approval letter. (The experience may not be continuous)
- A minimum of 12 months of work experience in the last five years (If you have not been employed with the supporting employer)
- Qualify for licensing in Saskatchewan if it applies to their occupation.
- Have completed post-secondary education, a Master’s or Bachelor’s, or a three-year degree program
- Show proof of intention to reside and work in the province.
- Have a qualifying full-time and permanent job in the province.

Health Talent pathway: Express Entry category
One must be accepted in the IRCC’s Express Entry pool to qualify for the Express Entry sub-stream. They can either live outside the country or have proof of Canadian legal status but is not a refugee claimant.
One must fulfill the below criteria to qualify for the Express Entry stream:
- Have an active Express Entry profile and a job seeker code
- Have a minimum language proficiency score of CLB 7 (English/French)
- Show proof of intention to reside and work in the province
- Have a qualifying full-time and permanent job in the province
- If applying from inside or outside of Canada:
- 12 months of work experience (High-school related) in the last five years in their chosen occupation
- Qualify for licensing in Saskatchewan if it applies to their occupation.
- Have completed post-secondary education, a Master’s or Bachelor’s, or a three-year degree program
