Swedish EU Blue Cards are now processed in 30 days!
As per the Schengen News report, the Swedish government will now process EU Blue cards within 30 days, as compared to the previous 90 days for selective workers. The processing time has also been reduced for Intra-Corporate Transferee Permits and researchers. The reduced processing times will benefit the Swedish labor market and foreign workers in the country.
The new changes will be effective only for individuals with a complete and faultless application. The Swedish EU Blue card processing time can take up to 4 months for those not fulfilling the above requirement. Applicants seeking employment in Industries that require a four-tier assessment system along with additional examinations may not be eligible for the newly announced changes.

Sweden Announced plans to reduce the salary requirement for EU Blue Cards
Sweden is making efforts to attract more foreign workers to the country. As a part of this initiative, the government also plans to reduce the salary requirement for acquiring an EU Blue Card. As of August 2024, the monthly salary threshold for EU Blue card applicants is €866. The lowered salary requirements will improve and streamline the working conditions for skilled foreign workers.
Other EU member state countries, like Estonia, have also recently announced EU Blue card eligibility for individuals with at least 5 years of work experience in their domain. Educational qualifications are no longer a requirement for Estonian EU Blue card applicants.
