The QSWP bases its operations on a points-based system. There’s a points threshold that candidates must meet for eligibility which is decided by a candidate’s family situation.
- Single applicants must get 49 points on the points calculator.
- Applicants including their common-law partner/spouse on their application must get 57 points on the points calculator.
Points are granted for work experience, education, language skills, family situation, and other criteria.
