Applying for a work permit through GSS is a sure way to get a Canada work permit faster (2 weeks) than any other way. It’s easiest when the foreign worker doesn’t need an LMIA for getting a work permit. In such a case, they can get eligibility for GSS by meeting the following requirements:
- Lodge an online application from outside Canada.
- Have a complete application ready and submit it.
- Include police certificates (in case it’s required).
- Include the results of a medical exam (in case it’s required).
- Include certified translations of mandatory documents issued in any language other than English or French.
- Make a payment of the processing fees.
- Do the submission of the results of biometrics in under 2 weeks of the date of submission of the application (in case it’s required)
