The NBPNP points calculator looks at things like your age, education, language skills, work experience, adaptability, and whether you have a job offer. All these factors add up to a score out of 100 points, and usually, you need at least 60 points to qualify for some streams. If you are applying through Express Entry, they use a different scoring system called the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
