The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score is the key ranking tool used by Canada’s Express Entry immigration system. It assigns points to candidates based on personal factors such as age, education, skilled work experience, language proficiency, and adaptability. The CRS is out of a maximum of 1,200 points, which includes both your core human capital score and additional points from factors like a provincial nomination (600 points), a valid job offer, Canadian education, or family connections in Canada. The CRS ensures that Canada selects candidates most likely to succeed economically. A higher CRS score significantly improves your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.
