Skills in Demand Visa (Subclass 482)
The Australia Skills in Demand is a temporary visa that lets foreign skilled workers live and work in Australia for up to 4 years. To qualify for the Subclass 482 visa, the skilled worker must be nominated by an approved Australian sponsor in a Core Skills Occupation List (CSOL).
The Skills in Demand visa replaces the previous Temporary Skill Shortage Visa. Under the new Subclass 482 visa, individuals with highly in-demand skills can receive a nomination from Australian employers. The new 4-year Australian SID visa provides employers with the flexibility to switch employers while offering Permanent Residency (PR) pathways.

Eligibility Criteria for Subclass 482 Visa
Have a sponsorship form from an approved and registered business sponsor
- Receive a nomination for a Government-approved skilled occupation
- Possess skills required to fill the job position that you are nominated for
- English language requirements
- Licenses/Registration (if needed)
- Have the qualifications to work in a nominated occupation
- Provide medical, character, and other requirements
- Have medical insurance (provided you have coverage by Medicare)
